Returns & Issues
We grade honestly and photograph everything — but if something goes sideways, here's how we handle it.
> The As-Is Nature of Thrift
Everything we sell is vintage, used, and hand-picked. We grade honestly, photograph every item carefully, and describe wear directly in the listing. A "VG" LP has scratches. A "Worn 2x" pair of sneakers has been worn.
When you buy from us, you're buying a real piece of the past — imperfections included. We're not selling mint-condition replicas. We're selling the stuff that survived, and we're honest about what that looks like.
> What We Cover
We'll make it right if:
- The item arrived damaged in shipping — we'll refund or replace and file the shipping claim on our end.
- The item was significantly misdescribed — if we missed something big (broken piece, non-working electronics we marked "working", damage we didn't note), we'll refund including return shipping.
- You received the wrong item — we're a small shop and humans make mistakes. Let us know and we'll fix it.
> What We Don't Cover
We can't take returns for:
- Normal vintage wear that matches the condition grade and photos
- Changed your mind — these are one-of-one pieces, so we can't restock
- Items that arrive as described but don't meet expectations not stated in the listing
Unsure about a piece before buying? Ask us anything — we'll send extra photos, video, answer questions. Better to know before it ships than wish you had.
> How to Report an Issue
- Email Rannedaythrift@gmail.com within 3 days of delivery — that means 3 calendar days, weekends count. After that, you own it. No exceptions.
- Include your order number, the issue, and photos if relevant.
- We'll get back to you within 2 business days with next steps.
- If we need the item returned, we'll send a prepaid label (damaged/misdescribed items only).
- Refunds typically process within 5 business days of receiving the item back.
> Our Promise
This isn't a corporate return policy written by lawyers. This is a small shop run by Ben in Clifton, NJ, and we genuinely want every customer to be happy with what they get. If something's not right, reach out — we'll figure it out together.
